Make snowglobe shaker cards with your issue 119 free gift!

We hope you’re having fun with this month’s free découpage kit and glitters. If you haven’t got yours yet, be quick – issue 119 is in shops now, and you can order it online too!

Guest designer Stephanie Smith has created this gorgeous card using the kit; check out those perfectly cute penguins!

“The kit made it really easy to put this card together – it’s great if you’re trying shaker cards for the first time,” says Steph. “Before sealing up the snowglobe, I wrapped a couple of pieces of ribbon around the base and fixed with double sided tape. Then I added the ‘Merry Christmas’ label from the kit.

I wanted to add a small snowy flourish, so I sewed a turquoise seed bead to a pearlised fabric snowflake and then fixed it with a glue dot to the snowglobe. To finish, I double mounted the decoupage scene to give it more impact.”

Gorgeous work, Steph, the bead and ribbons look so fab.

If you’ve made something special with issue 119’s découpage and glitter kit, be sure to show us your pics – drop us an email, or share your photos on Facebook and Twitter. We’d love to see how you’re getting on!
