Hello to Blade Rubber Stamps and their fun soldier friend! Here’s all the info you need to create this simple card for yourself. They’ve even included all the prices so you can work out your Christmas crafting budget more easily. You could create cards for all your family and friends with this little shopping list!
Follow these five simple steps to create your Nutcracker Christmas card
Select your card and print a background. For this project, I chose a square card and used the Blade Rubber Icicle as my image. I printed the stamp using black Versa Colour ink, and finished it with on of the gorgeous new range of Creative Expressions embossing powders. Once this powder is heated, it gives a lovely festive shimmer.
Next, to finish the background of the card, finish the icicles with spots of Dark Blue Stickles to give them and extra sparkle.
Now select a luggage tag for the main feature of the project – I chose a large ivory tag. Onto this I embossed one of my favourite festive Blade Rubber Stamps, the Nutcracker, and finished with a “Merry Christmas”
Now colour the image with your preferred method. For this example, I chose to use paint to achieve a rich colour, but you could use any media you enjoy working with.
To finish the card, border the tag with peel offs to make it a little more special, and add a bow of ribbon (I used glue dots for this job). Finally attach the tag onto the card, and voila! You have a simple but very effective greetings card to send to your loved ones. Merry Christmas crafting!
