Deck the halls with a card from Lawn Fawn

Here’s another party guest!  It’s the sweet ladies from Lawn Fawn – yay! We’re so glad they’ve been able to make it, as Lawn Fawn is a hot new stamp company with the cutest clear stamps. “I couldn’t resist bringing a card to the party using our new Ornate Ornaments stamps set,” says Lawn Fawn-card designer Chari Moss. And we’re glad she has – what a lovely idea! Check out more from the Lawn Fawn girls at their blog, and find the stamps in the UK at Make the Day Special.

Here’s Chari’s steps to make her gorgeous card

Step 1
Score and fold a card blank from kraft card. Stamp it with the Woodgrain Background using Tea Dye Distress Ink, then lightly ink the edges using the blending tool & more Distress Ink.

Step 2
Stamp and heat emboss both the large and small ornaments onto green, aqua blue & pink cardstock using Versamark ink and silver embossing powder.

Cut out the ornaments and using a glue pen and coordinating glitter colours, add glitter accents to the tops and the stripes of the baubles.

Step 3
Arrange them in position on the card front but don’t stick them down yet. Carefully stamp out the strings and hangers of the ornaments in black, based on their positions.

Then stick the ornaments down at different levels by using a variety of thin and dimensional glues – use double-sided tape and sticky foam pads, even stacking them up for lots of depth.

Step 4
Stamp the sentiment along the bottom in black ink. Embellish the large ornaments with bows made from silver cording, and finish off the top of card with a sheer ribbon bow.
