We just LOVE the gorgeous patterned papers and chipboard shapes that are free with this month’s issue!
The newest member of the Papercraft inspirations Design Team, Stephanie Smith has created this beautiful card using the free gift – and we couldn’t wait to share it with you!
“I created this card for my friend Tanya’s 40th birthday,” says Stephanie. “She loves bird motifs and vintage style patterns, so as soon as I saw the Hazy Days kit I knew it was perfect to make a card for her!”
Distress the edges of the chipboard shapes by rubbing the edges lightly with an eraser. Alternatively, you can use distess inks.
Draw a very simple branch with brown Pro-Marker marker pens. Use the darker brown at the bottom of the branch to add shading.
Punch two small daisies from the patterned papers. Layer the daisies together with a 3mm glue dot and add the pearl to the centre.
Turn the leaf punch upside down so that you can line up the patterned paper when punching. Snip the stems off the punched leaves and arrange them at the end of the branch. Attach the daisy and two chipboard birds to the branch with PVA glue.
Add the chipboard greeting and numbers to the card. Finish by lining the inside of the card with patterned paper, such as the pink polka dot design.
The Hazy Days collection of a 6x6in paper pack and coordinating Chipboard shapes is FREE with the October issue of Papercraft inspirations which is on sale now!
