This bonus ship card is perfect for male birthdays and bon voyage cards, but can be easily adapted to suit any occasion. It’s super quick and easy, making it great for last-minute cards. With summer (supposedly!) around the corner, there’s no better time to start crafting this ship-shape card!
You will need:
Your basic card kit, plus…
Blue card blank
Plain blue, yellow & white card
Blue patterned paper
A ready-made sentiment
White gel pen
Cover the card blank in a slightly lighter blue card.
Cut a strip of blue patterned paper half the height of the card and stick on.
Using the template, cut out the ship and layer on to the card using sticky foam pads.
Punch out lots of circles from white card using a regular office hole punch. Empty out the tray and glue all the little circles to the ship.
Cut a wave shape out of the blue patterned paper and glue each end to the card, so that it bows up in the middle creating a 3D effect.
Finish by cutting a strip of yellow card and gluing it to the bottom of the card. Go round the edges of the strip with a white gel pen to create a stitched effect and attach a sentiment to the middle using sticky foam pads.
